STUDENTS - GSN > ABOUT

The GEOIDE Students' Network (GSN) was established in February 2000. Its main objective is to promote collaboration between GEOIDE students. This Network provides students with opportunities to develop their networking skills, initiate and manage new activities, and establish contacts within the GEOIDE Network. The GSN consists of about 500 students working in Geomatics-related fields from universities all across Canada.

  • The GSN is an excellent resource for any student who wants to delve more deeply into geomatics;
  •  Are you looking for contacts, funding or other opportunities? The GSN is the only place to go;
  • Do you want to expand your skill set, find better ways of researching, launch a project or establish networks that will facilitate your job hunt? The GSN is here to look after your best interests.
The GSN is about:
  • Improving networking with professors, researchers and students throughout Canada
  • Facilitating the integration of students within Canada's professional geomatics sector
  • Funding and encouraging students to work on research projects
  • Promoting excellent research within the GSN
  • Establishing partnerships between student projects and promoting interdisciplinary research
  • Encouraging the development of professional linkages in the North American geomatics sector
Who is a member?

GSN members are comprised of undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows, conducting their research within a GEOIDE Network project.

Your involvement is vital to keep the GSN going. Contact us today and find out all the advantages that membership can bring you.
