Meaning of the GEOIDE's logo

• The most obvious symbolic meaning of GEOIDE's logo is that of EARTH. It's a globe representing continents in green and the oceans in blue.

• The small green sphere represents all remote sensing and positionning SATELITTES in orbit around the Earth and more precisely, the Canadian Radarsat satellite.

• The green waves on the northern hemisphere of the globe OUTLINE the CANADIAN PROVINCES and territories from British Columbia Rockies to Newfoundland. The blue veil partly covering the Earth symbolizes the ATMOSPHERE.
